Mr. Clark is an associate in the firm's Employee Benefits Group. Prior to joining Ivins, Phillips & Barker, he was an associate in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group at Vinson & Elkins. Mr. Clark advises clients on their executive compensation arrangements and qualified employee benefit plans. He has particular expertise in the areas of equity-based compensation plans (including the federal and state securities law aspects thereof) and nonqualified retirement and deferred compensation plans. He also has significant experience in the design, drafting, and day-to-day administration of qualified employee benefit plans, as well as the treatment of such plans in the context of corporate transactions.

Mr. Clark received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law in 2002, where he was a Member of the Berkeley Journal on International Law. He received his A.B., high honors with distinction, from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. Mr. Clark is a member of the District of Columbia, Texas, and California bars.
