Mr. Sherwood is of counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Ivins, Phillip & Barker, having joined the firm in 2000. His practice focuses on the tax planning aspects of transactions involving corporations and partnerships. In addition, he is involved with issues concerning business valuation and the disclosure of tax shelters and other reportable transactions.
Mr. Sherwood earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1998. He was also graduated, summa cum laude, from Columbia University in 1993, and received an M.A. in economics from Harvard University in 1996. Mr. Sherwood is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and California.
