Harry L. “Hank” Gutman Honored by Texas Federal Tax Institute as a 2026 “Legend of Tax.”

Ivins, Phillips & Barker is pleased to share that Harry L. “Hank” Gutman was honored by the Texas Federal Tax Institute as a 2026 “Legend of Tax.”

The Texas Federal Tax Institute has honored two tax professionals annually since 2011 as “Legends of Tax.” The interview series has been described as “perhaps the most complete chronicle anywhere of the practice and events of federal tax law in the United States over the last 50+ years.” Hank was featured in a Tax Legends Luncheon interview highlighting his influential career in modern U.S. tax policy, including his work with Congress, Treasury, leading law schools, and private practice.

IPB’s Eric Solomon was previously honored as a “Legend of Tax” in 2015.
