Ivins Attorney Speaks at Penn State Dickinson School of Law/New York City Bar Program

Bob Wellen spoke on April 28 in New York as a panelist at the 8th Annual Institute on Tax Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions. The program was sponsored by the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and the New York City Bar. The subject of the panel was Taxable Acquisitions. It focused on the mechanics of asset and stock acquisitions, the role of the recently-codified “economic substance” doctrine in structuring acquisitions and choices sellers must make in acquisitions involving earn-outs and other contingent consideration.
