Les Schneider Speaks to the Tax Executives Institute

IPB partner Les Schneider spoke on the "Tax Accounting Methods" panel at TEI's 2021 Virtual Midyear Conference on March 25. The theme for this year's conference was Choosing a Path Forward in a Changed World. Other members of the panel included Christine Turgeon of PWC, and Barbara Torzewski of Thomson Reuters.

Topics covered in the discussion included tax accounting method planning for NOL carrybacks, potential tax rate increases, and impending changes to section 174; tax accounting method planning for the new section 451 and UNICAP regulations; tax accounting method planning to reduce GILTI and other aspects of controlled foreign corporations; and the data life cycle and best practices for financial projections and modeling.
