IPB Lawyers Teach Tax to Entrepreneurs in the Arts

Ivins, Phillips & Barker attorneys Benjamin L. Grosz, Jonathan L. Holbrook, and Harrison B. Richards presented on tax strategies to entrepreneurs in film, art, music, and dance on October 18. The session, hosted by Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts (WALA), focused on tax planning, compliance, and common issues for individuals starting or operating businesses in the arts. Benjamin Takis, Founding Attorney of Takis Nonprofit Law PLLC, co-presented with the IPB team.

IPB has a long history supporting WALA’s mission to provide legal education to DC-based artists and non-profit organizations. In recognition of this, Ben and Jon were nominated for WALA’s G. Hamilton Loeb Award for Pro Bono Excellence earlier this year.
